Lucy Lawless hails from New Zealand and is an actress also a musician, singer, and performer. She's most popularly recognized in her profession for her outstanding roles on various top-billed television shows and films, such as Xena: Warrior Princess, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena and Spartacus: Vengeance. She is best known for portraying the role of Xena who she played throughout her career as an actor. Lucy played the part that was originally planned for Vanessa Angel. She was not able to make it to the shoot due to health issues. Her success as Xena resulted in a spin-off show which was launched in the month of September, 1995. The popularity of Lucy as an actress gained momentum after being cast in the spin off. The show received a further boost of cultural reach and viewership following the release.
