Rebecca Romijn (born in New York City) is an American actor and model best known as the actress of Mystique, the main character in the initial of three episodes of X-Men. Romijn was also part of an additional Marvel film, 'The Punisher where she was the character 'Joan'. Romijn began her modeling career at sixteen. Her modeling career has taken off since then. She's appeared in major magazines such as Christian Dior Sports Illustrated and Victoria's Secret. Her career spans more than a decade as a model for large fashion houses. Later, she quit the modeling industry in order to pursue acting. Romijn was more successful on television than she did at Hollywood. She was a character in the comedy drama 'Ugly Betty,' then Jessie Nichols on The NTSF SD SUV.' She was a part of 'King and Maxwell" as well as The Librarians.
